Aura Rue — Heritage Home Incense (اورا رُو)

Some homes feel heavy for no reason — a tense week, a stream of guests, good news followed by a strange run of bad luck. Our grandmothers had one answer: burn esfand.

Aura Rue brings that heritage ritual back, refined. Esfand seeds (Syrian rue, Peganum harmala) — burned across Persian and South Asian homes for centuries against nazar — are hand-blended with a rich bakhoor and pure frankincense resin. As the seeds crackle on the coal, a warm, grounding smoke drifts through your rooms, leaving a calm stillness behind.

Why it belongs in your home

• The nazar ritual — the time-honoured esfand tradition against the evil eye and envious glances
• A fresh reset — after guests, gatherings or a difficult stretch
• Calm and grounding — frankincense and bakhoor soften the air
• For new beginnings — a new home, a wedding, a new business, a journey

The Ritual

1. Warm a charcoal disc in a heatproof burner until its edges turn white.
2. Place a small pinch of Aura Rue on top.
3. Carry the smoke slowly through each room and every corner, windows ajar, and let it settle.
